Status of SFS 6002
SFS 6002 provides rules for ensuring safety in electrical work and operational work. Binding requirements are laid down in Finland’s Electrical Safety Act (1135/2016) and the Government Decree on Electrical Work and Operational Work (1435/2016). These regulations set out only the basic safety principles; compliance is demonstrated by the standards.
Turvallisuus- ja kemikaalivirasto Tukes publishes a list of standards (Tukes list S10) whose application is deemed to meet the requirements of the Electrical Safety Act. The new SFS 6002 has been prepared to align with current legislation and is included in the list S10.
The standard is available for purchase from the SFS Suomen Standardit online store https://store.sfs.fi/fi.
